Speaker: Steve Vavrus, Director of the Wisconsin State Climatology Office
The Wisconsin State Climatology Office (SCO) provides “climate services” to help Wisconsinites use weather and climate information most effectively. These services encompass the themes of information, interpretation, and investigation. The SCO is very active in education and outreach, as well as research to improve understanding of Wisconsin’s climate and to inform decision-making. This presentation will provide an overview of our office and explain how the SCO is monitoring Wisconsin’s weather and climate variations since the 1800s.
