Haein Kim is a postdoctoral research associate at the Center for Sustainability and Global Environment. She holds her PhD in environment and resources from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research interests center on interactions between global health, air quality, and clean energy transitions. With her background in energy systems modeling, her current research works focus on transboundary air pollution and health issues in East Asia, as well as air quality and health impacts of sectoral and regional emissions in collaboration with Jonathan Patz, Tracey Holloway, and Morgan Edwards.
