Cecilia Orth is an MS student in the environment and resources program at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is part of the anergy analysis and policy (EAP) certificate and a recipient of the Wes and Ankie Foell Scholarship in EAP. Orth graduated from UW–Madison with a BS in environmental science and a certificate in environmental studies.

She has been part of Holloway Group in the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment since 2021, where her research is centered around air quality, climate policy, and environmental justice. Orth’s research uses geographic information systems to assess pollution burdens for underrepresented groups. During the summer of 2023, she was an air quality assessment division intern at the Environmental Protection Agency.
